i just redid the ignition in my bus. 69 bay.
new coil, plugs and wires, and a pertronix igition modual. now, i can start the bus, but it won't idle. if i keep my foot on the gas it will run, but dies off otherwise. is there some trick to instaling these things? this is the first time i have used a points eliminator

I ran a Pertonix with 009 in my '69 Westy for 6 years until I sold it this summer. What distributor are you using...stock or 009? Check to make certain that they supplied you with the correct Pertronix module as they do sell two models: one for the stock disty and one for the 009. I can only advise you to re-check your part# and/or connecting instructions. Also, could it just be a coincidence about the idle and maybe you've got a bad coil or other parts? I've had that problem before with brand new parts!! Neil.
