| just curious how the barndoor splined shaft compares to early beetle big spline? it seems the only wheels floating around lately are splined and i am trying to figure out how one might be modified to work in a keyed application |

the splines are the same, but the beetle steering column is larger, so it would be difficult to modify the column to work with a splined wheel. this topic covers what I did with my wheel. I am very happy with the results.
