Can someone help me figure out what this is and why it is leaking. It looks like the fuel injection pump or something. It is on my 87 GTI. It seems to be leaking out of one of the two holes. Is there any way to fix it or does it have to be replaced? Thanks.

| That is the Differential Pressure Regulator. It controls the pressure inside the distributor. If it's leaking then I'd replace it. Why mess around with trying to patch it if you know it's bad? |

| You could try cleaning off REAL good and use some sort of epoxy, like JB Weld. Make sure it's real clean and let it setup overnight before allowing fuel to get to it. That may be good for a temporary fix. |
