| I was tightening up the torque converter bolts on a 1972 F-100 I had just rebuilt the motor in and the socket slipped off the nut and smacked me in the upper lip. It drove my 2 front teeth right thru my lip. They were sticking thru so far I had to pull my lip down and over my teeth to get them out. Hurt like a bitch, almost as bad as getting smacked on the tip of the nose. :x |

lacquer thinner is worse. burns for a couple days
i once dumped a funnel full of gear oil in my hair. doesnt hurt, but man it smelled for a week or two. i got dirty looks from everyone the next day, as it really smells like piss.
You know whats even worse that laquer is laquer based contact glue in the eye, its really hard to get off, burning the whole time, usually takes off all your eye lashes, and burns for days. Don't ask me how I know all this  |

| Local mechanic here was under the DeathBus just using the Bilstein jack and had the left front tire off, the jack collapsed and pinned him under the bus. |

| I was replacing one of the power steering hoses on a Mustang 5.0 just after I drove it home from the autoparts store. Smelled the funkiest smell and wondered what it was. About 15 seconds later, realized it was the back of my hand against the exhaust manifold. That was about 15 years ago. Sold the car, still got the scar. |

Use a dowel, or a hammer handle to hold down the seat release spring when taking the seats out of your Type 3.
The chunk of skin it took off was 15x15mm, 2mm thick after running through the seat track.
I could see my pulse, just like when Jerry hit Tom's thumb with a hammer.
It healed remarkably fast, though. But now my right thumb is stubbier than my left. |

About two weeks ago I was using my King Kong drill (AC) to drill some 5/8" holes in a long piece steel.
Bare in mind I'm used to using my cordless drill that has a clutch and a brake.
I'm buzzing along with my AC drill and the bit binds up. My hand slips off the handle and the drill keeps spinning. It doesn't have a brake and so it winds down, but it has enough force to wrap my hand up in the cord...and about pulls my middle and ring fingers off my hand. Two weeks later and my hand is still jacked. |

| Didn't happen to me but to a friend of mine. He had his car up on a lift and he was standing under it cutting the end off of a muffler clamp with a welding torch. A red-hot 1/2" piece of metal rolled down the sleeve of his cover alls and settled in the crotch, nestled up against his nutsack. |
