I am thinking about selling my flip seat. I really don't want to, but baby #2 on the way soon. Duty calls.
If anybody is interested PM me and let me know. Chad

so kris and i put in a tough weekend to get my pile 'o 60 kombi going...
it went pretty well i think, better than expected and it wouldn't have happenened without kris' help...thanks ol' buddy...anyway it runs, shifts into four forward gears and 1 reverse gear really well, the e-brake works good enough to take it for a spin, the electrical's all good, lights all work accordingly, the only holdup at this point is some unwanted front brake issues but i'll deal with those appropriately...i could ramble on forever about this bus but this is a flipseat thread so here you go...
he got his safari's installed, hooked up some mirrors and other stuff...it sure is shiny...
and here sits his '59, its fate as ever seems undecided, at the very least i like to have it around to look at while i work on my bus - his shiny one hurts my eyes... |

Cool bus...
I see you have an early interior in that late flipper...did you have to hack the back cabinets at all to get it in the late bus? |

| Not a all. It just sets right in there. Nothing different but the back closet. The knobs are different, but not a big deal. |

I think because it has the wrong interior and is not running will really hurt the value. The economy here in the states is killing the USA bidders and seems the UK folks dont care as much about westys as they do that it us rust free bus that runs and drives to pass MOT. The factory safaris are a big plus...though how clean are they?
I am gonna guess $7500...that seems to be the going rate for similar condition hatch tops I have seen lately. |

I need molding that goes around the cabinet doors, (not the door hole) but that weird 4 way molding on the door itself. I believe it is the same on so 33,34,35,42etc... does any one know who remakes it or any thing?
Please Help!!! Thanks

Great pics, Kris! If I were you I'd trailer that bus around  . Don't quit your job though, I've tried that and the fun doesn't last all that long :).
I'm driving mine to Arkansas for half of next week. Can't wait!
