| If you do it, spend the money and get the polished ones. |

| I think the non-polished look a lot more old school, that Split is Sick! :D |

That`s my 56 with the "type-one" plate.
I love the speed master wheels. Finally someone got it right with the off sets. I have the car lowered in the front with 2.5 drop spindles and a stock width beam. None of this narrowed beam nonsense
I can run a 185 /55 on the front and a 205/60 on the rear and have no rubbing issues on the front. Car drives like a dream at freeway speeds!
I would highly recomend this wheel. Also you don`t see them everywhere. At the last Classic my car was the only one that I saw with them except for the Moon guys.
I have the dull gray with simi polished lip. I think the rough cas gray makes them look more old skool.
My 2 cents. |

Wow, now that you mention it, they do have a nice offset. So you have spindles and a stock width beam, and still the tire sit in a nice location. Good lookin' wheel. Nice car too.
Them are some huge p-shooters! |

Thanks :)
The car has a Porsche 356 super 90 for power and 356 brakes all around. Even with the spindles and the Porshe brakes. Both of which added about 1/2'' to the front end width. The wheels still fit nicely. Close fit but no rubbing.
I had some of the 4.5 Flat-4 BRM`s with skinny tires and had all kinds of rubbing. And the car drove like crap with those tires! So I was very happy when I found the Speed Masters. |

Love the car and the stance. The wheels fit it just right. |

| Mooneyes has 2 different offsets, +13 &+21. Is this offset on top of the factory Type 1 36mm offset? for a total of 47mm? I want to get a set for my Squareback and factory offset T3 is 46mm. Mooneyes hasn't responded to my e-mail yet. I hope yall know. :?: :?: :?: |

I had Speedmasters on the Kubelwagen...nice wheels. The only complaints were that the holes for the lugs are pretty tight so if you have a fat lug wrench they are a little tough to get in there. The valve stems were also in kinda a funky spot for some air chucks.
But still suoer cool. I kept them when the Kubel went and now they are on my 356.
Heres a Kubel Pic
