| Hi folks, have to replace a lightbulb in the right rear tailight in a '99 Beetle, looked in the manual and it says to take it to a dealer. I would but they're not open! so I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice? thanks! |

| Open the rear hatch, and in the trunk you will see a circular 'plug' in the plastic trim on either side near the back of where the lights are. Pop it out with a small screwdriver. There is a plastic knob inside there, unscrew it. Now, ouside the car again, take the small screw driver, and insert it between the tail light and the body at the seam between the bumper cover and the fender. Pop the light out. The bulb holders just twist out of the light. |
