Whats up guys,
So I'm 20 years old, I'm going to jr. college in southern california, I work at a bank, my life is pretty much as exciting as bingo night at the rest home... I'm transferring in about 2 semesters and I wanna get some input as to where I should go (state or country wise)... All i've known is California and I wanna get away for a while. So if you could, and are bored enough, go ahead and post where you live and pros and cons of living there.... I'd appriciate it. thanks

-Pete

Yes, just beautiful.
You soon get used to -20 degrees.

Seriously, if you are looking for a college then Iowa has some really good colleges. And for variety in weather we have 100 to -30 troughout the year.

Despite currently living in Albuquerque, I still would vote for Las Cruces as being my favorite city. Fairly small, outstanding food, great atmosphere, generally good people, great weather, and oddly enough, a fairly decent music scene. With NMSU being a decent Ag, engineering, and music school, you have a plethora of interesting people knitted into a fairly small community. Plus, as an added bonus, while driving University Drive, you always pass the cows with windows in their stomachs. Yes, it's true....actually they are more like "plugs". Still a riot though.

I've lived mostly in the west, from California, Seattle, Utah, Arizona, and, of course, New Mexico...and by a landslide, it's still Las Cruces as being my town of choice. Last time I visited, it was amazing how much it has grown. Futher more, I recall reading that it was No.5 on the fastest growing cities in the USA (this was a couple of years back)

Good luck in your search.

I moved from San Diego to Charleston South Carolina 1 1/2years ago. I'll be home soon!
South Carolina SUCKS! The weather is tolerable, but there isn't shit to do,and the people here are annoying! The only + here is that no one will mess with your early VW's. The negative is constantly hearing "why don't you buy a new car" and the fact that there are pretty much no VW shows here

Indianapolis, ..come take my place so I cna move out of this God-forsaken place.

Major Woody Tue Feb 05, 2008 5:32 pm

It doesn't matter what city I'm in, as long as I can find me a place convenient to a K-Mart. That place helps me stretch my shopping dollar.

Hey there, if you are truly serious about being open to move out of the country, you should give Deutschland a shot! I lived there for just a short time (six months), but I have to tell you its so refreshingly different, but not so different that you find yourself eating strange things. I would recommend the Rhineland-Pfalz. just beautiful! if not, the next best place is Holmes County, Ohio!! :P We speak the same language as they do in the Pfalz , and the countryside is identical.

Move up to Vancouver Island. Yeah it's wet here in the winter, but its not cold and there is a nice vw community, the fishing is great! And in the summer there are lot's of things to do.
