the best parts of my 51
incidently does anyone know why a few random early swedish Bd have the interior door handle area cut out and rewelded exactly back in place as you can see above. i have seen this on several different random vans.

Chalk it up to metal fatigue.
Over the years, that exact point fails from the act of slamming the door.
Two of my (non barndoor) buses have it. Broken on a clean line at exactly that point. Mine were not rewelded, however. |
