Anyone here subscribe lately? I clicked on the banner for the special 40% off offer but the discount offered is only 19%. I wrote to customer service and the only response I get is "Unfortunately we are currently unable to answer your enquiry".

most of their offers are for UK subscribers only; I have been a subscriber for several years now...

I just hit up my local B&N for my monthly fix. You'd think that the subscription would be cheaper but it's the same as if you bought it locally. Some of the magazines I subscribe to are $8 at the newstand but the monthly subscription is $19 for the year, some times less than that.

Nope it clearly says "exclusive US subscription offer" on the banner.

Exactly my thought. It's not rocket science for them to answer my question. They need only check out the banner or ask marketing. I think they're avoiding the issue.

Same in Canada, the price for a UK mag is about the same in the store as a subscription.

A week later and still no explanation from them. I think they're stalling so they can hit me with a "Sorry, that offer expired last week" excuse.

I verified the banner links they provided me and they are correct. I emailed the person who authorized the banners and let her know of the discrepancy between the advertised discount and the actual link.

Everything should be resolved now. There is a banner for VolksWorld and for VW Camper & Bus running. Both are now correctly linked to the 40% discounts pages. The links they provided were correct, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

Thanks...I had the discounted Volksworld sub already, and was wondering about a discount for the Camper & Bus sub.

It is still a bit of a trick. The banner ad says "save 40%", but when you get to the site, it says "save up to 40%" When I entered my information I was offered 22% off the price.
