here's some shots of the lunar eclipse if you didn't remember to go out and look... I forgot about 30min into it.. so no 100% eclipsed shots. I have a street-light at the end of the driveway which didn't help, though I had a lens hood on. taken w/ a mini tripod via the roof of my beetle... photobucket compressed them so they're a bit grainy...

You got Saturn in there as well.

We were watchin' it all night. It's about half over now. Here any way.

It was a beautiful clear sky in NE PA tonight and it was absolutely an amazing sight. I woke up my wife and daughter when it was fully eclipsed and my daughter thought it was the coolest thing :) .

I seen it , surprising there were no clouds around .
Was supposed to be cloudy but we got lucky for a change .

I forgot all about it lastnight until the radio mentioned something about it.Too cloudy here though so I guess it really didn't matter anyway.

Was a really clear night here to watch, but cold (12F). I like looking at the moon through Binoculars, you can really see amazing surface detail...

I did go out at exactly 10:27p when it was supposed to by "total" but the shadow was never symmetrical, always a bit of a white smudge on one side. Did anyone see a completely symmetrical eclipse?

I'm disappointed and am going to ask for a refund............

2 shitty pics from me. No tripod.

Nice pics!

I took some to but they are lousy--should have been getting shots of the kids, it was like a carnival atmosphere around here.
All the neighbors poked their heads out into the street to see the moon or perhaps check out the commotion of all the kids outside on the street at 10pm :D (One neighbors howled like a werewolf and sure got the kids' attention!) They ranged from 4 to 16 years, about 20 of them and then us parents with coffees--man was it cold but wouldn't have missed it and I know the kids will remember it for a long time :D Not many cool things happen where you can say you shared it with a good chunk of the world.

Nice pictures. It was too cloudy for me to really see most of it.

We missed in SoCal, at least along the coast. :(

Last night was my last time for getting suckered into standing outside in the middle of the night looking at some snoozefest going on in the sky. Sorry, after standing out there looking at comets, planets, eclipses, meteor showers and all the other junk, I'm done.

Maybe when the giant asteroid is about to destroy earth I might take a look, but that's about it.

That's no giant asteroid, just pieces of the destroyed spy satellite falling down everywhere!
:)

I took my students out to see it during break. It was pretty clear in Illinois!

Pic taken with Rebel XTI (not by me

I went to a local lake and they had telescopes set up. It was really neat to see saturn with a 15-20k telescope.

That's a great pic. Looks like a little UFO next to it. We had a lucky viewing because we woke up with an inch of snow the next morning.

Spezialist Thu Feb 21, 2008 2:45 pm

Saw the tail end of it as the moon rose above the clouds at Pila
