I have a 73 walk thru and I want to put 76 walk thru style seats instead (head rests are better) do the slides all inter change? Plus did the back seats have head rests and what year? I want safty and I plan on putting in over shoulder belts so head rests are better right? Ok last question what kind of rear seats come in the bays, like any 2/3 or 3 with tilt foward back?

| Mike I have been looking for headrests for mine for about two weeks for the same reason if you find any please let me know I'll do the same for you. The bay window came with a 2/3 middle middle seat for sure maybe even a three place.Back seat is for three. If you have any other questions feel free to ask! doyyng1@sbcglobal.net |

| The seats should all work for Bays. You can get a 3 person middle seat for your Bay. I have a 3 person middle seat and rear seat all with black headrests. I see headrests when I got to the local salvage yard. The 3 person middle seat is pretty cool. |

I have lots of headrests!
73 was the 1st year. They are one-year-only. They have a release button on the post. Very rare. Soft vinyl.
74/75 are soft vinyl. But age is getting to them. The cloth material between the zipper and the vinyl self-destructs. I have a few good pairs of them in different colors.
76-79 are molded, plastic vinyl. They crack when ice cold and you press on them. The sun ruins them also.
Of the 76-up ones, brown is the most common, then green.
In either style, black is tough to find.
Very tough to find: 74/75 orange for the orange plaid Westies and the red/brown for 78/79 Champagne Edition buses. |

| The seat rails on your 73 and 76 are the same so changing them is no problem. Rails became narrower in 1977 through the Vanagons. |

I have a nice set of seats for sale. I have the middle 2/3, and the full back that folds forwrd. Both are bown and in good shape. If anyone needs em, drop me an email, as I'll sell em cheap just to get em out of here. thanks.
