We would like to announce to everyone that we are in the process of organizing an additional chapter in Sacramento. This is in conjunction with the help of "Cody of KaferKnights" (kaferknight) & "Greg of Greg's VW" (BadDogRacing).

With the recent growth of NAG over the past months, we think this will be a great addition to the family, allowing more enthusiasts to participate that may not be inclined to make the venture to the Bay Area.

Some Ideas for get togethers for SAC/NAG

Wednesday Night "NAG Drags" at Sacramento Raceway.

Cruise to the Aerospace Museum of California:

I can co-ordinate either or both.
With enough interest, I can reserve a club lane for VW only entries at Sacramento Raceway.
That guarrantees trophies for Winner and Runner-Up.

3rd Annual California Capitol Airshow.
Greg's VW has hosted this event for the previous 2 years.
We have moved the shop location to Elk Grove, but still have ties with business associates at our previous address.
The Airshow takes place on March 15 and 16, 2008. We will have a viewing area at the old shop location at 10275 Old Placerville Road, Sacramento, CA 95827, on Saturday.
We also have a NASA Race on Sunday March 16 at Sacramento Raceway. Some areobatics from the High Performance Jets can be seen from Sac Raceway. Bring your Binoculors and Zoom Lens Camera's for Sunday.
Campers are welcome at our 2 acre estate at Bad Dog Ranch.

Wednesday night "NAG DRAGS" sound like fun! I can bring my 64, it does the 1/4 mile in about 20 seconds :lol:

Nor Cal Air Cooled Group - VW Drag Racing

May 14, 2008 and September 24, 2008 at Sacramento Raceway

These dates are part of the Wednesday Night Fun Drags schedule.
We will run in lane 7. This will be an exclusive VW only lane. This guarrantees trophies for the Winner and the RunnerUp of the NAG Drags.

I am happy to announce the First Sacramento NAG meeting will be held on 3-08-08.

We will be meeting at 6:00 @ the Kmart/Jaspers Parking Lot in Rancho Cordova off of sunrise and Highway 50.

Open to Suggestions if you have any.

This spot was picked because it has a large parking lot. With several different places to get some food nearby, and is right off the freeway.

We can pick a new spot once we get everyone together at the first meet.

The norcaltransporters will be meeting at 3:00 at C Bar C park that day. Maybe we can get them to cruise over to K Mart at 6:00.

This would only be a meeting spot. About 6:45 to 7:00 there would be a cruise to another spot to hang out and eat. This spot has not been decided yet. NAG is all about getting everyone together from all the local clubs and going fo a short cruise and getting a something to eat.

dont worry about meeting in a parking lot cus we wont be there long, when we meet in Pleasanton we are there for an hour at the most, then take off for a cruise.

Awesome turnout for the first ever Sac NAG meet. great mix of Bugs, Buses, Ghia's, and Type 3's (36-37 Cars)
Thanks to Cody for putting together a short cruise up to Folsom.

This is the first ever NAG cruise I have been to and it was cool to see the amount of VWs that showed up. Cody, thanks for getting it put together. I am looking forward to doing this in the summer when the sun stays out longer to get more pictures.
