I've noticed how much I hate driving behind older cars with no third brake light, especially in the rain; so I was thinking of adding a 3rd brake light to the ole bus. I think I'm going to flush mount it in the pop-top, try to make it look as stock as possible.

Has anyone ever tried this? Or do you think it would be a bad idea to cut into the top? I'm not to worried about keeping the bus origional, it's already going to have origional cabinets and tons of other stuff.

I personally do not like to make changes to my bus that are not reversible at a later point. If it were mine I would try to run a wire down the hinge into the rear hatch and put the light on the rear glass.Good luck

ya put one of those LED light bars in the upper part of the glass. i think that would look better than in the pop top.
