Just picked up my 69 bus. Body work will be manageable. But she's got no guts when I step on the gas. Starts right up, first try most of the time. I'm sure she's in need of a tune up, but I'm afraid it may be a bigger issue.
I live in Mass, on the RI border. Any ideas of what her ailment might be, and any good recommendations on a mechanic close to home?

Try a tune-up first. Points,plugs,spark plug wires ,fuel filter,valve ajustment.Also might need carb ajust or fuel pump.Ca'nt help w/a mechanic,I used to know a guy in Marbelhead,that was 20yrs. ago!Try local S.O.T.O. I took her for an illegal spin around the lake today. Turned her idle up a bit. That helped. I think she does just need a good tune up.
