I have a 69 westy. My blinkers still work, the blinker handle spins though. The assembly attached to the steering column came loose. It spins so much I have to hang on tight to the assembly if I want to signal a turn.
I need some advice on tightening it. I've tried the screws they don't do it. |

| Yeah I've had the same problem. Basically you want to give the blinker assembly some "grip" where it attaches to your steering column. Now I don't know what the "NOS Approved" repair is but I basically just took the two halves apart and took some thing rubber pieces and stuck them on there and re-screwed the assembly to that. Mine holds perfectly. |

| You could make the rubber spacers with an old bike tire tube. Sounds like a good fix. Jeremy |

| I learned this technique a few years ago on my early buses... Take the signal halves and a Flat file. File down the edges of one or both halves evenly, this will make the ( )diam. smaller. The screws then will have something to clamp to.This should do the trick. Careful it does not take much. |
