Phil
Quick question about that CDI. Is that the Analog version uppose to the digital CDI (HyFire from Mallory). My buddy runs one of those silver box CDIs and loves its output and performance. Where did you get it?

Thanks
Tim

Here's the website for Universal Corporation. I bought one of their CDI boxes when aircooled.net sold them. I would assume Universal could tell you where to get one or if you could buy direct.

This is my 1600 in my 71. I dont really like it, buts its my dads motor and he said I could use it till i finish building my own. Too much chrome and cheap parts for me.

Engine in my 76 Bus. 2L with 1800 ported heads,1700 rockers, hydraulic cam, 40mm Dell's, lot of balancing internals, light flywheel and full custom tuned length mandrel bent exhaust system. Pushes the bus along very nicely and makes good power and torque.
