I sold the original AD-series (equivalent to AE-series), twin-port, 1584 cm³ displacement, 50 hamster-power, 1973 VW 1600 Type 2 engine, with retro-fitted starting-handle facility, sometime ago.
I have yet to assemble, the WO-series & AP-series 1911 cm³ displacement, 90+ hamster-power, modified hybrid, VW 17/1800 Type 2 & 4 engine, with retro-fitted starting-handle facility, so the only pictures I have, are of some of the various components.
Renovating the two-bedroom bungalow, which I inherited from my grandparents, is taking precedence at the moment. :( |

The three engines that have been in my bus.
My first single port stock 1584 engine,
...who died like this
My 1775 single port engine, 2 years ago
The same short block but with steve tims Stage 1 heads and a pair of 40's Dellortos
Which died when the case broke on the moustache bar mounting bosses (completely slumped on the right side), the case has been welded and now is in a friend beetle.
And my new 2074 engine:
All are home made, for my 1971 DD panel. |

I should have done that before I put my engine in. I have been kicking myself over it. |

You don't need the fan if windshield fogging at traffic lights isn't an issue but you do need to block the tubes that it once fed. And fix that wiring and vapor plumbing too :? |
