| While replacing my heater core I found my evaporator rusted through. Now that I have replaced it I would like to have working A/C. Should I get old R12 or go ahead and upgrade to R-134? My understanding is I would have to get a new receiver/drier. Is that all? Any help would be appreciated. |

| You might as well upgrade now since you're replacing the evaporator. R12 is expensive and getting hard to get. From what I understand you'll need to replace the receiver/drier and the fittings. You might as well replace all the seals, since the system is empty. |
