| I was wondering what parts I would need to lower my 1969 and my 1973 VW buses and what would the parts cost me? Thanks. 6973buses. |

Plan on replacing the concrete on your driveway after you hit it a few times with your newly lowered bus.
You better get an extra belly pan too, because you will surely dent yours.
Don't forget to factor in the rediculously high prices for the cost of new fancy wheels and low-profile tires (money that would better spent on fuel and vacations)
But think of all the attention that you will receive, especialy from the local Police for "driving while VW".
And enjoy the postcards: the rest of us will still get to take our busses on dirt roads in order to get to the better camping spots.
;^)
(seriously now, one can and should do whatever they want to do with THEIR car and not listen to fuckwads like me. No offense intended; I just wanted to point out that lowering ones bus is not all it's cracked up to be) |

Check out Bus boys http://www.bus-boys.com/ I've seen other folks selling dropped spindles on the Samba as well. Bus boys has a good reputation and my dealings with them have been positive.
I enjoy the improved handling and besides, all the best camping spots you can't get to by bus. You know all the best places you gotta hike to right!
To each his own.
Do it right and you'll be happy. |

While some say nay... some say yeah baby!
I have all the parts ordered from bus boys.Gonna' drop the 74 westy down 3"-enough to make it handle slightly better and to get that airgap out of the front wheelwell area. Nothin crazy, but I don't bog my bus back logging roads anyhow-I pack it in.(while i'm goin' slow, whats a little slower?)
I saw my buddy's exhaust system get ripped off by a drainage berm on a forest service road in greenriver OR. His was stock height, so nobody's immune. |

| Hi, I can vouch for the quality of the EZRider Kit. I have it on my 56' Oval but I have spoken to loads of people who have the kit fitted to their bus and they say they wouldn't go for any other system now. It helps keep your driveway in one piece too since its fully adjustable! |

| I'll be installing 2" dropped spindles on our 71 Bus soon. Dropped spindles are much better than an adjustable beam, since the suspension movement remains the same. When I want to get to those really good spots, I use our Meyers Manx Buggy! LOL Good Luck & Have Fun... ManxManiac |
