I'm about at wits end trying to find a decent set of fenders for my '61. Who sells the best reproduction fenders? I remember someone used to advertise in the back of mags with a guy standing on top of a bug fender, my dad says hes used those and they were decent. Should I keep trying to find OG, or just find some repops and be happy?

welcome to the party...I have been looking for awhile now...can't make up my mind. Some places have great prices but then I worry about them being cheap crap...but then I get sticker shock when I see what some people want to charge. Good luck. Let me know if you do get some reproduction and how you feel about them.

Richard at OEVDUB sold us some Italian repos ,for a clients car,
good fit, heavy metal, very little tweaking to make them
work, the rears one the other hand..... were crap, but
those were Brazilian ...

I think the ad you saw with the guy standing on the fender was for a fiberglass place. I'm not sure that's what you're looking for.

By far the absolute best quality and best fit come from good, used, original fenders.

Everyone has this idea that 'new' is better, not always true.

The ad were you saw the guy standing on the fender was for Creative Car Craft. They sell the best quality fiberglass parts, and fit even better than the cheap repop steel fenders. The reason why I bought them for my car is because of the top quality work and superb fit and finish. The only problem is that are be a bit pricy. Check there stuff out at www.creativecarcraft.com They have been in this business for a long time, so they know what they are doing. They used to be here in Florida but moved to Tennessee. There is also very minimal prep work.

Pre 92 Itallian fenders are just about as good as you can find repop...

I'd be looking to repair some take-offs OR going with the Creative Car Craft.

I own all of the options (yes installed).. OG, early repop or creative car craft.

No brazillian pie tins.
