I purchased a Zenith carb off of Brad Fox aka Wayne Sombrero about 3 weeks ago.
He was cool about the whole thing, even held it a few days untill payday. As promised I paypaled him$135 on payday a few days later. About a week later I emailed him asking about the item. He explained some things had come up and he was a little late getting it out but it had been mailed. That was 2 weeks ago. I have sent several emails over the past week and none have been returned.

I understand some people have busy lives ,I'm one of them. Maybe there is a problem with shipping.USPS is notorious for such things afterall. However if there is a problem it would be nice to hear from the guy.

I'm stuck waiting on a part that may never come with a car that wont run until it arrives. Or I can put it all back stock just to tear it down if it does eventually show up.
Any advice?? Anyone else having the same problem??

I know I only have a dozen post or so,but I assure you I'm no newbie, and no stranger to buying and selling parts online.

Paypal is telling me I have to give him 30 days to deliver before I can file a formal complaint. But it looks like its definetly headed in that direction.

The bad thing is he still has stuff on here for sale. I'd have to say untill I resolve this issue buyer beware.

Maybe he doesnt check his email much and usps lost it. Maybe not. When I sale something I generally keep the lines of communication open until the buyer has received it and is happy with whatever they got. Crazy idea huh?

I've met the guy and done a few transactions. Always good. Not sure what is up?

Brad just emailed me. He's been busy and hasnt checked his mail until today. He's going to the Post Office on Monday to figure out what happened. So it looks that this may just be a big mistake with the good ole USPS.

Same here. I know he goes out of town from time to time. That's probably what's happened.

Looks like its gonna work out. I think USPS might have fouled it all up.

USPS takes a good 24 hours to update when they post that message.

Well I got 1 reply and nothing for the last 3 days that I've tried. If I cant work this out I guess the next step is try to recover the funds.30 days since payment.

I'm back to where I started now. No communication and no product. I will be filing a formal complaint with paypal and usps if this issue is not resolved very soon. This sucks.

Monday was 30 days? What are you waiting for? :?

I sent him yet another email Today. I'm giving him a chance to make it right. I dont think I'm ever getting the carb, but if the money is returned then we can move on. i've dealt with paypal claims before, they wont do anything unless you can prove you made every reasonable effort. I think Might be the one I'd worry about. Using them and Providing false tracking and shipping info is a no no.

No reply! Well I think I gave enough time to at least provide an explaination. This afternoon I will file a formal complaint with paypal as well as with USPS.
I hate this crap,if its too much trouble to answer an email or mail out an item then it should be to much trouble to accept my money.

I see that a few guys got on here and said good things about the guy.
Apparently it's not worth his time and effort for him to respond here .
Sucks because he might actually be a decent guy,but I'm not really feeling that right now.

EverettB Thu Mar 20, 2008 10:59 am

I deactivated all of his ads as a precaution.

His profile says he has not used the site since March 2nd.

67bugnut Thu Mar 20, 2008 3:38 pm

Thank you sir.Maybe he might notice that.

He's one hard guy to get ahold of. I wouldnt mind that if he hadnt taken me for $135 in the process. Not much more that I can do but file the claims and wait.

67bugnut Fri Mar 21, 2008 7:28 am

Paypal dispute filed. Still no answer from Brad Fox.
