| OK in the past ive asked questions in these forums and always got good answers so here goes again. My wifes cabriolet has a tie rod that appears to be loose from the steering box side allowing the drivers side wheel enough play to vibrate. I was going to have my son do this for me with my instruction as he always helps me out because I physicly can't. My question is this. Is it possible to change the part of the tie rod closest to the steering gear box? (Meaning the part the tie rod end screws onto.) or do I have to change the whole box? I can't find instructions for doing this anywhere yet I see the part for sale from the parts house. As always Thanks in advance. |

| You need to get the whole tie-rod. They are available. Once you unclamp the boot at the rack, you'll be able to unscrew the rod from the rack. When you see the relacement part at the store it will all make sence. |
