That sounds like a "Monza" style exhaust. it is not a true header system and does not add any appreciable performance.

Maybe someone can help me with this dilema. I've taken a closer look to remember exactly what I did with my exhaust. Here is how it goes. Exhaust manifold which is a 2 into 1 header comes directly off the cylinder head using two O - rings, triangle gasket, front exhaust pipe [u - shape 180 degrees] triangle gasket, up to this point it is exactly the same as page 15 in the Engine and Clutch Section of the Bentleys, then triangle flange with straight pipe, muffler, tail pipe. I have this system x 2, obviously for the other two cylinders as well.
What I need to determine is if the CIP GT-4 Tip Sports Exhaust - Bus 75-78, will work from the point where the front exhaust pipe ends.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks !!

No HP improvement, probably less.

About the Monza muffler: are you saying your system is exactly the same as stock except for the missing heater boxes? If the pipes are the same length as the heater boxes it will obviously fit. If the pipes are too short you'll hit the fan shroud, too long you'll hit the bumper. How can we know?
