Would this bolt right in to my '73 Wolfsburg? Would I need to cut any of the tin? thanks.

If I get it, I will be back on here asking questions about the fuel injection. |

You would have to change to a bus flywheel and starter.the tin and exhuast would have to be change and I think maybe the engine crossmember' but not exact on that.the only pieces of tin you might be able to reuse is the pieces over the top of the cylinder. you have to remember that the 914 sat opposite than the bus. Its been a while since ive owned a 914, nd had it sitting next to a bus.
as far as the fuel injection thats a whole different story. If you have the original tin, starter, flywheel, andexhuast from the bus you'd be better off. |

| The upper cyl. tin would also need to be changed. Also a bus pilot bearing needs to be installed in the crank. The engines are basicly the same externally the 914 will have a windage panel and slightly different cam interally. Have you contacted the seller and found out if its a runner? Ad sounds like the motor is only worth the injection system. |
