Anybody seen one of these?
Can you really sleep four up in there without crushing your rails? |

Damn, do you ever shut-up?
I don't see why not- you can stack a lot of weight on a rack. |

Is it just me or does that thing look bad ass?
I doubt it would fit over my pop top. |

| It just sort of shocked me, hahaha. I've never seen anything like it. Are they available as of now, or are they a discontinued product? |

My step father has one hanging in the rafters of garage. He bought it new in the 70's and rolled it on top of his chevy wagon.
I stuck on top of a hardtop westy one summer- but never really got it dialed in. He has all the garbage that hooks to it too. Theres a red/white awning that comes off one side, 2 tin-can style tanks that heat in the sun as you drive and set up as a *solar shower*, theres a stove and some storage crap too.
Now that I see people finally want these things maybe I'll go get it from him!
p.s. It's seriously heavy. and doesn't help much with the whole center of gravity problem. |

I have an "Overcamp" tent on my Bus. It sleeps 2 adults 2 kids. It is same size as a queen size bed. They are available from Loftyshelters.com. Not as nostalgic or cool as old ones. But it does the job. We needed more sleeping area.

| I just saw that style when I Google'd "over car tent" and must say I like it. It wouldn't work for a camping trip with several friends, but if it was just me and a buddy, it'd be fine. how much smaller is it when folded up? |

Sweet!
Please, do post the lego model... I've always been amazed at what one can build with the right set of legos.
I've got a huge box! |

Here's a pic of it folded up-
They aren't as heavy as you would imagine. Only about 180 or so, fully loaded. Yes, they are awkward. But my 17 YO daughter helps me move mine around.
And, the one in the ad was in a guys rafters for 15 yrs. When I looked at it it seemed in good shape. But when I put it on top of my bus and drove home, almost all the seams came apart! That is why it has a new canvas.
And, yes they will sleep four PERSONS. I would not try it with four ADULTS. That would be scary as hell.
If anyone has ANY questions, feel free to ask me. I have a ton of literature and am not afraid to use it. If I don't sell the one I have listed, it will be at BYOB (Redbarn). Otherwise I will bring my DELUXE model Camp'otel. |

| I've got one also, my Dad found it hanging in a shop. Have you seen the instruction manual? It's Crazy detailed! My favorite part of it is the little red and white folding sling back chairs. 8) |

| I'd be afraid of messing up the roof in some way... I have a slight.... rust issue? And while we're going to cut it all out and weld new metal in, I'd still feel a bit worried. |
