Can anyone please advise me about the posibility of putting power steering on a 1970 bus. As I'm getting older, my arms arn't what they used to be and I don't want to get rid of my bus. Please don't tell me to join a gym. Thanks

Hate to say it but I don't think it's feasable/possible...

Put some more air in the front tires. They'll wear more and the traction will decrease but it will be easier to turn the wheel.

Thank you guys. In the late fifties and early sixties ford made a power "assist"unit for their larger cars. Thought maybe some company made a similar unit for cars today.

Maybe you could retrofit something. Given enough time, money, and interest anything can be done. Hell, people do all kinds of crazy stuff to their Buses... why wouldn't this be possible?

I agree there Chab...Not that it is totally "impossible" but unless your an eccentric rich type who has a penchant for type 2's with creature comforts even VW engineers diddn't want to tackle... why?
