| We were at the Sawtooth Music Festival in Stanley, ID this weekend. Probably 10 or more westies, a few busses, and a couple of eurovans. Looked like a camper show! |

Camping over the weekend:
A white (w/yellow & green pinstripes, apparently Duck fans) van in the site next to mine...
Got an enthusiastic wave from a White Eurovan camper (not sure if it was a Westy or Winnebago) heading up 101...
and merged right behind an brownish-orange Westy on the way back in on Hwy 26. |

Passed a nice bluish-late-80s Westy on Tramway in ABQ yesterday that I hadn't seen before. I was in the Toyota, not the Westy so my staring probably looked more that of like a peeping-Tom than of a fellow Westy owner.
They had a GoWesty cover over their propane vent so I knew they were well informed. |

| Coming home from work In Atlantic City NJ I passed a late 80's Westy Silver white top Quebec tags. Also Last week while out looking for an address. I turned down a one way street, about 8 miles from my home in Galloway, NJ low and behold a Maroon Syncro Westy in the front yard of the house. I could not beleive it. I have never seen one around here. |

Yes, mine! Just picked her up on the weekend in Vancouver, and immediately drove it back the nine hours home. Flawless, no problems. And I finally got to do the ''westy head nod'' (is that copywritten somewhere...). Saw at least 5 westies on the way back. Not to mention the 3 I saw today on the way to work (it's a 10 km drive!). Nelson is home to an insane number of vans, it's nice to fit in....

| I saw a white Doka today in DesPlaines, IL. Kind of rusty but very cool, I've never seen one in or around Chicago. Parked next to it was a green Bug that looked to be in very good condition. |

That was me! I'm on a summer-long x-country tour of the Western U.S. (and Canada) with my girlfriend, and Stillwater is my turning around point. I grew up here, and my folks still live pretty close to downtown Stillwater.

gold 86+ pass van with curtains
Blue Bay Westy
Green Bay Westy
burgundy pass van
Gold/Silver syncro westy
and a gray syncro westy parked in Teton Village with 286K that looks awesome. it's got a textured paint treatment all over with little visible rust.

| Only 138 of the them, 136 buses/vanagons at the High Country Bus Festival in the blue ridge mountains of North Carolina. 2 more unrelated white Westies in north Georgia where i was vacationing from Austin, Texas. It was great. I had 2 of my 3 boys with me, one 20 the other 5 y.o. They loved it!! In one van was a couple that had sold there home and were traveling around with everything they owned just checking out places to live! Chris |

Took my GL down to Surf City this A.M. The wife and I had a great breakfast at the Sugar Shack on Main St., East of Jack's. Great omelettes if you happen by there.
On the way North on PCH from Brookhurst, saw a couple Westy's at the Magnolia street State Beach lot. Since I work for the State, I decided to go back and park (free) by the Westy's. One was pre-1980, the other was, I think an '84...
Magnolia Street lot. Clean and well-utilized, couple dings on the back-side, but not in too bad shape. The Westy looked pretty good for its age as well.
Mine is in front of the Westy.
Further South toward the Main St. Pier... Clean
On the way back, by the pier again...
The other 5 were pre-80 Westy and bays... A good day for Vanagon, Westy, and Bay sighting at Surf City...
