Yesterday, heading back west down I-84 between Hood River and Portland:
A gray van with cargo box on the roof
A really nice/clean white van with fat tires and a "Transporter" badge
And a nice yellow Bay Westy with the license plate "SMR HME".
I was holding it down in the slow lane while they all passed me 8) |

No.
I've seen a total of 3 in the last 12 months in the Atlanta area. I'll check back in another year. |

That was me! I'm on a summer-long x-country tour of the Western U.S. (and Canada) with my girlfriend, and Stillwater is my turning around point. I grew up here, and my folks still live pretty close to downtown Stillwater.
Action shot:
Right on! You were 3 blocks from my house, and my '90 GL! :D |

| Went on a 5 day camping trip to Cape Cod, saw 9 vanagons (7 westy's, 2 pass.), 3 bay windows, and 6 EVC's. Anybody there over the past few days? |

That photo is totally staged.
Did you pick up that van out west or back here? Margie and I saw this one in Stillwater... in July '05.
[edit - upon further review, dissimilarity of antenna placement indicates these are probably not the same van. thanks for playing] |

I think I saw that bi-colored Air-Cooled I've seen around at the Evans or Alameda lot while riding the Denver RTD light rail downtown to World Con.
Sunday, as we were getting ready to pull out of the Englewood Park and Ride, I saw a silver round-eyed non-Westy parked on the side of the road among the town homes.
Vanagons near to public transportation... Interesting! The city of Wheatridge has announced that it is illegal to sleep in your car parked on the streets, in the context of the impending Democratic National Coronation.
THEY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT SLEEPING IN YOUR VAN, THOUGH!
Best! |

Back from the US, I saw a bus at the Canadian border in Lacolle, nice looking, red with white top, at the border. It was parked at the "please wait while I put my latex gloves on" station. While passing it, I saw a "Che Guevara" face portrait painted on the side.
I guess bus people always have a harder time at the border...

On my way to work I saw one this morning...
where: Bake Pkwy, Lake Forest, So. Cal.
time: 8 am
description: Orly Blue Carat (circa 1988 and up), scratched paint on left side, white line on tires.
This is the 1rst thing happened to me: I am in my Blue Cara too...I honked, we waved and smile to each other and drove side by side for a wile
it was fun.... |

See you round,
