Thats actually not Seinfeld's car/shop, its at a shop near here where a collector has his cars maintained/restored. Have seen all those cars close up a few times, the D&S especially is stunning. Not sure which of the two Hebs there is up for sale, one of the Wendlers is beautiful and the other is unrestored and would think you'd have to buy both to know how to restore the other. The 2 Lawrence Rometsch cars are in very nice shape, the other 2 Beeskows (vert & hardtop) were undergoing restos. Was a bit strange to see that Paul Russell was apparently representing them, rare opportunity out there to have your pick. |

I wouldn't assume that the Hebs and Romys are part of the collection here in MA. One of the Heb's in the collection isn't finished yet, and one of the Rometsch's is undergoing resto.
But the maroon D&S is. It is a stunning car... |

There are some photos of various vehicles under the SuperSamba account if you search in the Coachbuilts category.
They are under Supersamba because the owner wished to remain anonymous. |

Does someone know why they are for sale?
I do not understand why someone puts up a so nice collection and then suddenly sells most of it - has someting happended or did he find something better ? |

Well chances are there aren't 4 other Romys running around this area or even on the east coast that just happen to be available, other than the 4 Romys that just happen to be in the same place where the D&S, the Wendlers, and at least one Heb are also available. Most of these cars, even if they looked done either were/are planned for re-restoration for various reasons, thats why they are at the shop they are at, including the 2 Beeskows (not just the 1), which I'm actually producing a few parts for now.
Hard to say why these cars might now be available, those seriously interested should just contact Paul Russell directly, the owner's privacy and choice of sales channel should always be respected. Also, "available" can mean many things, high end collectors regularly change the shape/mix of their collections for all kinds of reasons. As much as collectors may love the cars they choose, cars at this level are also serious investments collectors make, so its hard to know how attached a collector may be to any one car, or why or when they should decide to change their investments. |
