I just completed my first quarter there. It's good to be back in school. Not too many air-cooled vw's around though.

I'm a Junior Pre-Vet major. I'd never drive my bus to school. Too many careless people dinging doors and the likes.

One of the couple of acvw's i've seen around campus is a bay window with the same paint scheme as yours. The guy parks it way out there usually.

I graduated from there 11 years ago. I commuted by driving my Notchback 38 miles each way for more years than I care to remember. The Notch has lots of window area so I could see where the traffic was when I darted from one lane to another.

Yeah, I'm here right now. I've got a six hour gap between classes on Tuesdays. :? I think I might start bringing my bike so I can go riding at Bonelli Regional park.

My grandpa and grandma used to live in the maids quarters of the kellogg mansion (on top of the hill). i just got a cool pic of their old 56 oval near the duck ponds.....i think it was taken in the mid 70's.

Post that if you get a chance! It would be cool to see.

I took my camera along the other day and found this fine specimen in the faculty lot.

I've gotta admire a professor at a university (besides berkeley) who would drive this thing to work. I'm sure the guy who drives that land rover just loves it

It's not just faculty members who can park there, it's anyone who is a university employee. That car could have been driven by a secretary. It looks like the driver backed into the space but was afraid he/she might hit the concrete base, which explains why the car is not in the middle of the space.

One time I parked my beat-up Notchback, which was and still is in dire need of a paint job, in that same lot after 5:00 pm when anyone with a parking permit can park there. Some of the professors I knew saw me unlock the door to get in and were quite amused at my choice of transportation.

Rather than be completely and utterly bored yesterday during one of my breaks, I wandered around the campus some more and found a couple more Vw's.

This westy was in the faculty/staff lot and is in very nice shape. I recall seeing this one some time during the summer when I had to drop off some paperwork.

And over in the student lot:

Poor little super has got some ugly cancer underneath the crescent vents.

I also saw a MK1 GTi cruising around but I didn't get a photo. Looked pretty nice. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
