arthurnugen, langsmer and merlin- Thanks for the compliment because some viewers quite discriminating on my bus (fake kombi etc... ) actually we split buses owners are very rare here but some split buses are well kept since the early years. I just want to restore my bus back on the road because he's very special to me have many memories on it. Filipino people here are very much love and fascinating of volkswagen cars even if its hard to find some parts. Here's some picture during the guiness record having 818 volkswagen on the road. I'll update the development of my bus soon

OG color... would that be turkis? yellow? bondo? rust?

Seriously though, anybody have a real idea what this thing might be? I'm thinking maybe they found a junkyard and went nuts. I'd like to see the underside. This thing could be sitting on a couple of I-beams (you know what I mean :roll: ) or some other concocted frame. The bulkhead sorta looks like it was cut from a shipping container, the sliding door tracks are a mystery still, and even the fresh air vents look hand made in some of the pics. Frankenstein?

Thats right, and contrary to what you may think, I'm seriously loving this thing! I'm especially digging the fog light front bumper and the metalwork. The metalwork is so good in some places and there is so much bondo, I'm just wondering (like most others) about the pedigree of this thing. Ever heard Johnny Cash's Cadillac song? That's all I'm saying. :wink:

I know there are some vw owners here that will have violent reaction on my bus, nevetheless I don't mind their reactions because it is my honor to have a 23 window bus here in the Philippines,it is one of the kind and very rare here in our country.

It really is crazy messed up, but I think that makes it truly unique. This is a one of a kind bus, alright. I like it, though. There's something about it... It could be the tiny body shape differences, but I think there's something else there.

I like this bus. =D

look for a color code that was written in grease marker in the left headlight bucket. i see a gray color that looks like it might be mouse gray.
pretty uncommon for a deluxe.

Jeez. Hey KOMBI, please take my comments for what they are -simple criticism. It's really no worse than people ripping into somebody for painting over OG colors instead of 'buffing that shit out'. Fact is that it's yours no matter what it is or used to be and yours is the only opinion that matters.

That said, if it's ok with the non-clown, computer illiterate yay-sayers with busses, I'd like to ask about the modifications on yours. Maybe compare it to your Dad's bus. I'd love to hear the story behind the door handles. :-s

BTW - Where's a newbie? I hate those bastards! Somebody get a rope, I think he went this way....! :fist:

KOMBI MASTER , Good luck with your project after looking at the pictures posted and not really good detailed pictures, Your in for a lot of work if you want to make that bus even half descent.

KOMBI MASTER: Don't let these clowns get to you. :) They spend more time on the computer than on their buses (do they even own a bus?). Enjoy the work you're doing and I'm sure it will come out fine (who needs forum nerds approval anyways??)
