I am working with some local type 3 owners to amass as many type 3's as possibe for a caravan to Classics 08. The meet spot is super k-mart in Carson Calif for a few reasons 1) it is off the 110 freeway and Torrance blvd 2) we can load up on ice, drinks and food for the day, 3) it has a massive parking lot so if the other clubs want to join us we have plenty of parking. I will be there at 5 am leave at 6 am on the dot how cool would it be to have a line of type 3's cruising together plus all of the bugs and busses our friends own. Classics is June 8th

Last year was a HUGE turn out of cars over all but I think it was the biggest type 3 showing in a while.

67VWFastbackGT Mon Apr 14, 2008 9:37 pm

Thanks man. I know. If fell off on the highway back to tucson. I guess it caused someone to have a flat tire cause iafter i retreived my plate back. About half a mile down the road there was a car with a flat. I rember seeing that car pass us. But we got to a rest area and i tied some eletrical wire to keep it there. Its all i had.

Cool, fasty, man. But the rightside mirror does not add to it over-all appeal.

Congrats on your win, buddy!

1967 Fastback,
San Francisco, CA
got it like three weeks ago, trying really hard to get it running. If anyone has any advice on getting these running, or lives in the bay area and wants to help out on this project, come on over, drink some beers and we will work on my car.

annnd,
I've already met Lloyd the Bucketman at a gas station.

I met Critter1 at ISP with a niceee 67 Fastback

it is the 2nd one in the pictures I posted above I believe he said he lives in Sacramento area.

A 67 fastback w/stock Solex's should not be hard to get running. If your carbs are squirting gas and you have spark at the plugs it must be your timing.

1000 miles on the Fasty over the Classic weekend. Left Sacramento Friday morning and got home Sunday at midnight. I must say, driving a VW made it so much more fun. Even did the Berg Rally, and finished it!! I met FASTBACKDON at the ISP West BBQ. We had a good Type 3 chat. I also picked up a set of popout "holy grail" seals and trim.

Looking good lined up at the show.

I call this the "Mommy Shot". How sweet it is!!
