Has anyone ever seen this strange split clock with the wind up handle on the front? It is actually offered at ebay germany for stupid money.
Did some really came like that or is it just a modyfied piece of crap?
It is Köhler, not Kienzle.

Looks like a Perohaus winder to me.

Isn´t that bigger and more flat than a usual Perohaus winder knob?

It might be the light, but it does seem larger...... It appears too be larger in prospective, but I can't compare the two except by pictures. It is missing the set screw and that might be the reason that it seems odd as well. I'm guessing that Kohler made the same winders for other clocks during that period. Perhaps someone, (John :D ), could see if there were any other Kohler clocks with winders of a like size. I'm still not certain, that it's not Perohaus. :?

Looking at your first picture..............the winder seems to not be centered to the face, or off-axis from the 6. I doubt that Kohler, or anyone else, would not "center" the winder.

nevertheless , far better than the vdo/mauthe side winding system .....

Kohler had a side winder I believe.............. :? This is something entirely different and unknown prior to this offer.

Were there any other radios with the clock in it, apart from the Becker Monza?

Not that I know of....................at least not to fit the Split or Pre-A pods.

Are the split beetle clocks the same as Barndoor deluxe microbuses? Maybe Köhler made a clock that was easier to wind or change the time in deluxe microbuses???????????

That's an interesting thought. 8)

No doubt!! USD 370.00 for a plastic Re-Pop... damn you would think it was made in Argentina!! :) Just Joking! I know those little homeless argentine street urchins huffing away on silver krylon gotta eat somehow.

i wish i could get those clocks cheaper from Argentine urchins ...but unfortunately , getting a hi quality product is associated with expensive machinery and experienced workers , not easily found in the "homeless" environment ......too much for today , i have to get back to the church to get my food and a blessing

This clock looks exactly like the the repro clocks Peter Fried have been selling at the Bad Camberg and Hessisch Oldendorf the last years.
