its goin on a 1835...with mofoco 50 series heads 1.25 rockers...c35 cam...forged rods and crank...n im not sure of the exact size of the turbo..its purty small but the a/r ratio on the turbine side is .86...n a holley 350 2 barrel sets on top.

i also need somewhere to get a wideband kit to set my a/f ratio...i tried summit n allthey got is stuff that plugs into ECU's n what not...

Get JAW Wideband! I just put one in my car for $70, can't beat that ( http://www.14point7.com/JAW/JAW.htm ). You'll also need a sensor ($60 at 1stVW.com or a dealer), and a bung if your downpipe doesn't already have one (hardware store).
If you need to see EGT's also, you can get a Techedge 2A0. The Techedge system for $224 US gets you the display, wideband unit, a sensor cable with connector, and sensor. The Techedge logs more data for the money than any other system out there, so if you need 3 channels user defined, 3 channels EGT, RPM input, and lambda, get 2A0 ( http://wbo2.com/2a0/kit.htm#buyit ).
If all you need is Lambda, JAW is the way to go.

I have both systems currently, and I can tell you from experience that for tuning a turbo setup, you just can't beat the Techedge 2A0 for features vs price. Right now, I'm logging 2 EGT's (1 cylinder, 1 after the turbo), RPM and lambda. It's really easy to see where your engine needs a little more timing or fuel when logging EGT's and lambda together, once you get it installed it won't take you long to have it dialed in (assuming you know what your looking for).
Hope this helps.

Dude talk to pat, he has a slick wideband unit. Im gunna get his setup for my 2180. The twin turbo already has it built into the ECU.

VwBuM71 Sun Mar 30, 2008 7:20 pm

well pat told us to just buy a 02 sensor and a a/f gauge....but i havent checked his out yet....i need one so when i do put it all together it runs right lol

i need a wideband to use with a carb. i have no ecu, all i need is a sensor and a gauge....if possible. im lost when it comes to this lol

JAW is what you need then, it has an input for RPM so you have some idea of what you're looking at in the datalogs. You can get the complete wideband set up for under $140, with sensor. I already have one, so if you have questions, hit me up.

I hope your 1835 is running the thick-wall cylinders.

Please keep us posted on the outcome of this one.I would really like to hear some real world feedback from someone who has one of these kits.

If you have to ask, you obviously haven't read AJ's feedback thread.
I'm waiting to see how this one ends up, hopefully it won't be a repeat of what happened in the past.

VwBuM71 Tue Apr 01, 2008 5:25 pm

Were you able to get the RPMs to work on the jaw kit? If so how did you reduce the voltage from 12v to 5v? I made the voltage divider from the jaw website but it doesnt really work correctly.
