Hey guys / Gals:

I'm interested in seeing what people have put in their vans for alternative steering wheels. I like the stock one just fine, but I'd love to upgrade to something fancier.

Show me what chu got!

This one goes real nice with my Dayton wires

Just kidding. I run stock, and kinda like it.

I run a Porsche 944 wheel, rumor had it that they fit without any mods so I tried it with a 2 spoke one I found for $20. Low and behold it fit like a glove (with the stock horn ring in place of the Porsche one anyway).
Now I want Either the 3 spoke or the 4 spoke one, but I have not found one on the cheap that isn't trashed....yet.

Its a touch smaller dia than the stocker, but not by that much, not enough to make mucha difference in steering, but I don't think I would do it if I did not have power steering.

Not agreat pic, but you get the idea:

Porsche 968 Club Sport wheel.

Driving through Smuggler's Notch from Stowe.

This little German Bratwurst wheel somewhat blocks the view of the tach and speedo. However, the feel and driving control it gives, I'd never go back to the original.

I've had this same wheel on my old;
1984 Audi ur-quattro
1987 Porsche 944
1985 Porsche 944
1976 Porsche Carrera 3.0 targa

They are available here >>

and also known as the Genuine Sport Wheel. Very, expensive.

Mine was the very LAST one in stock when Porsche Cars NA had there warehouse in Reno, NV. A friend that worked for PCNA got it for me :-) .

I have a Porsche 911SC wheel hanging on my garage wall at home that I use to hold the electrical extension cord with. You're more than welcome to see if this works for yaa (test fit/drive) and then just buy a used one from a very good old friend of mine that owns http://www.autosportnortheast.com/

Here's an image of what the Porsche 911 (or early 944) wheel looks like. From Eric D's Tristar

The only modification that I had to do was to tweek the horn ring a tad.
