| I'm putting on a new exhaust system. I'm wondering if new gaskets will be enough, or if I should put some high temp sealant on the faces. |

| If they gave you the grey or white asbestos looking gaskets... I wouldn't use them, even with sealant... Get some Orginal type metal faced gaskets and you will not end up with an exhaust leak in the next few weeks. |

| I did use some high temp RTV sealer on the heat exchanger pipes where they slip into the header, then followed up with those #$%& donut clamps. I had *fewer* leaks than I usually do. |

Yeah to repair the heater boxes (up to 71 mind you ) so they do not leak at those donut gaskets usually requires welding the heater box savers...
I was referring to the cheesedick gaskets they give you with most "header" set-ups... they suck get real ones or you will have leaks in no time.. .high temp sealant or not. |
