Can anyone here tell me if a sliding door off of a 1971 westy will work on a 1978 westy?

i'm gonna say no :-k
the overall shape of the door?
maybe.
but the latch mechanisms are different and i don't know if they will interchange. |

| It'll fit, get the strikers too because they may be a little different. |

The shape of the door is the same but the inside door handle on a late westy is twoards the rear of the door if I remember right...and a 71 has the regular handle up towards the front of the door.
You can try it, but switch the stikers too. |
