Hey all,
I had a follow up question to my recent question about stalling/acceleration of my '79 Cali bus. Is it possible to "fix" an airflow meter in some way. Since my problem doesn't appear to be fuel or spark, I'm thinking air. Could it be that some part in my air flow meter is sticking occassionaly and not allowing enough air into the system? If so, can I use something to clean it as you would for a choke in a carb? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I assume so since you can purchase rebuilt ones. There's not much inside: a screw with a bypass channel, a spring, an electrical track with components, a multi-pin connector. The rest is the metal case and flap.
What usuall goes wrong, is that the spring need to be recliabrated or the wiper wears out the track or something gets caught between the wiper and the track. |

| The Calif AFM is part number 0 280 200 022. One year only. Probably because of the O2 sensor. |
