Hi Having trouble starting my early bn4 heater. How many times a minute does the fuel pump cycle?

| Are your contact points clean? I think it should be set at 1mm. Then you need to make sure your diaphragm is in good shape. If so to set output turn entire diaphgram and disc till it seats and turn it counter clockwise 1.5 turns to set output. |

Thanks for the response
I clean the pionts changed the diaphgram and set it 1.5 turns.
It pumps about every 5 seconds is that the correct (speed)?
If I run it for 30 sec then turn it off and back on it will fire up.
There is good spark and it cycles on and off the t-stat fine it is just the 1st (cold) start.

| Sounds like your pump is ok. If they sit for a while they can aget a little stubborn. Fuel filter clean? Do you have the regulator set properly? maybe it's staving or running too rich? Is the exhaust clear? |
