Does anyone know how the tin around the thing engine differs from a type 1 beetle? :?:

Glenn Sun Apr 06, 2008 11:58 am

I thought the upper tin was the same.

doesn't the shape of the thing engine bay differ from the type one beetle, and therefore, require different tin around the sides? Ira

You are correct that the large rear most tin has a different part number than the Beetle tin for the same year.

If it's a 73 or earlier, you wouldn't have holes for the heater tubes...
