doesn't the shape of the thing engine bay differ from the type one beetle, and therefore, require different tin around the sides? Ira |

You are correct that the large rear most tin has a different part number than the Beetle tin for the same year.

If it's a 73 or earlier, you wouldn't have holes for the heater tubes... |

Yeah I wish I could find that 8b peice in the picture for my 73 also the 2 pieces that cover the heat riser tubes |
