Hey guys I have a 57 dune buggy and I'm trying to figure out which brakes I acually have... Here a picture to help
Can some one point me in the right direction?

You have the correct 2 bolt brakes for a 53-57.

| Dont lose the retaining pins- the replacement ones I bought for my 59 were way too long, scraped the drums until they bent, allowed the springs to seat cockeyed and the new brake shoes got screwed up |

Good call, I got the same ones (too long) I caught it though and reused my old ones :evil:
Made me sad because they were from WW but no hard feelings. |

| After the retaining pin issue, I rememberd that the last time I had the brakes done years ago the mechanic said somthing about saving the old parts- so I gug out the box and got the old pins out.... when I picked up replacment shoes I asked if they had retaining pins- the guy dug in the basement and came up with 4 stamped VW. Now I got plenty extra. |
