Anybody have vdub plans for their stimulus check? My wife owes my a new bug - someone offered me more money than I (my wife rather) could refuse last year before Christmas for my 72 standard. Like about 4 times what I had into it.
We should be getting $1500 - I get to spend the whole wad on getting a new bug. I've got another $500.oo to add to it.
I keep dreaming about bugs almost every night - I CAN"T WAIT!!!!! |

From what I've heard you don't usually get the full amount (Could have been mistaken). Just another sweet idea from Uncle Sam.
I've been told that you only get back what you paid in taxes last year. This means that if you only paid 400 in actual taxes (not social security), you only get back 400 for the stimulus. If you paid 1000 in taxes, then you only get 600. At least this is what I've been told. Someone that works for the government chime in on this one.
I don't get the full 600... |

Are you sure about this? I am also claimed as a dependent, but I thought that only mattered towards Earned Income Credit, not the economic stimulus thing. I hope you're wrong  |
