Please say it is not true.... for years Coker tyre have listed and sold wonderful repro tyres of the early and correct type used for the Type 82 Kubelwagen: Engelbrecht 525x16. They sold them as truck tyre, but now... when I finally wanted to place my order they tell me they are discontinued and no longer available... Nononononononono... I want a set! Does anyone have details on this issue....who made these reproductions, where were they sold, does anyone know of a set of five?
Any and all leads appreciated.... Yet another sample of "get it while its reproed, it really doesn't last long" .... Weep. |

Hi, did you try it here ?
http://bbt4vw.com/vw166forum/index.php
what car do you need the tires for ? Do you have a 40 or 41 Kubel ? because I believe after 41 they used the wesa tires with the "M" thread. |

Did you talk to one of the regular phone peons? If so they will say the tire is discontinued. If it is the non-m tread you are looking for then I can post the contact at Coker to get those. They are not in the regular catalog and the phone peons have no clue that they are in stcok.

A similar thread is already on the 166-Forum, but thanks.
I have a '41 and a '43 and to be honest I would like these tyres for both. But one set is an absolute must. |

Merlin: Very very interesting! It is indeed the "non-M"-thread I want. If you can put me in touch with the right Coker-man, please please let me know. Send me an email at: "autokomp@hotmail.com" THANK YOU! |

Thanks - but the Czech ones are all "M-thread", the later style that I prefer not to have..

| They are going on my Kübel as soon as I finish cleaning up my rims. Of course it helps that I live only about an hour from that particular shop. :D |

| The guy to talk to at Coker Tire is Corkey Coker. I spoke to him in person about Kubel tires at the last Fall Hershey meet. They say "Deka" on them. |
