Sweet Bus Klauss!
It sure is nice not having to rent a car when my Jetta breaks down! I don't even want to know what the surcharge would be for delivering pizza in one  I usually deliver in the Bus once a week anyways, it's kinda like a "casual Friday" thing :P The roof rack is a Thule, not sure if they still make one for the Bus though. It's rubberized to help protect the paint. I would imagine you could put four on there if you need more strength.
Gotta paint the wheels someday... *shakes fist at previous owner.
Hello Fellow Dominos Driver!
I deliver in my bus on fridays and weekends. All the other work days I am assistant manager! |

| The gal needed to get a yard full of landscaping rock. So she put a big tarp down inside and and had the supply company dump a Ton of rock in it. And she did it over and over. No ill effects. |

Sweet, what's up man. Yea I work some manager shifts too sometimes, esp. when someone quits. With gas prices the way they are, I don't deliver in the Bus anymore. Esp. since I picked up a Chevy Metro this year, nothing can compete with those kinda mpgs!, lol. The Bus is great in the snow though, and adds a nostalgic feel to the whole experience, lol.
Where's the pic w/ the cartopper man, lol?

103 concrete cylinders @ about 8.4 lbs each. 865 lbs.
Those are test cylinders to ensure concrete strength right? My old landlord works for a place called Central Premix. All the flowerbeds at his rental house are surrounded with those cylinders. Decent looking and he got them for the best price...free.
Yep, and they were free. |

haha concrete plugs and VWs... My first summer of college I was a concrete and asphalt inspector.... I drove to the jobsites in my '69 Westy and did tests on concrete/asphalt. The guys in the plants got a kick out of my ride. Once I even worked all night on a bridge-pouring project and slept in the VW between loads. The truck drivers would honk their horns when it was time for me to wake up and test the 'crete. Good times.
But that shit that dissolved asphalt cement was nasty nasty nasty... |

My bus gets decent enough mileage to make a nice profit. With all my tips and my wages I put a new engine in my bus(like completely new 2110cc, only thing I stole off old engine was the tin and distributor), along with brakes.
The engine is being broken in still, but sadly driving last night the clutch cable broke. The fork busted in half. The clevis pin broke awhile back and we made out own quick fix from the hardware store, turns out its didn't work well quessing by how the clutch cable broke. Now I have to place an order for the clutch cables and spare clevis pins and get that stock. (getting a spares this time)
I plan on moving soon though and my bus will be changed to a fun to drive vehicle since my job will be walking distance away and not a delivery vehicle. Fun BUS! |

Moved some firewood for a friend on Sat.
The PO set the bars up a notch- the rear sits high- takes alot of weight. |

Lol, I delivered many a pizza in my bus in days gone by. I worked for Dominos (among others) in New Brighton MN and we used to run to Bethel College- those kids were all so dumb, one girl asked me why I drove an ice cream truck. Cheap little bastards, most of them never tipped - when I was a student we always had buck or 2 for the pizza guy... |

The Double cab delivering the merry go round that I built for my Granddaughters birthday!
You should have seen the looks we got driving down the road carrying this thing :D
And I had to put up a couple of brag pictures :)
I think the grand children like it!
We set it up while they were at the children's museum (it was Super Hero weekend!) that's why the Captain America and Wonder Woman make up. |

I think you posted this in the wrong thread. None of that looks like work to me. :-) |

My Bus will be going back to work tomorrow - my '91 Toyota pick-up got broadsided by a distracted driver today... grumble grumble
Happy to be driving the Bus but sad to lose a good work truck! |
