Okay, I have done valve adjustments on my 68 Karmann Ghia, today actually. Is it the same or almost the same exact method?
Take out plugs (so the is no pressure in cumbusion chamber so you cane rotate it by hand).
Put cylinder 1 top dead center
Take off valve covers
First, adjust the exhaust valve on cylinder 1 too (this is where I am cunfused, becuase I don't know) .006??? Is it more or less?
/\
That is my main question. I am not sure. I have the Hanes manuel for it, but it does not say the adjustmentment.
The rest is simple. After you adjust both the exhaust then intake valves, rotate the engine counterclockwise 180 degrees and move on you cylinder # 2, 3, then 4.
Is this right, please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks. |
