| I recently bought a 72 914 and have since discovered that the motor was replaced with a 76 bus motor and I also think that the transaxle was as well but really don't know how to identify it. I found VW markings on the side of the housing and the numbers 14.301.101.000 so any help would be appreciated. |

You don't have a VW tranny. 914s were sold in Europe as VW/Porsche.
Here's the back of my Pedrini alloys. Notice the VW symbol and the 914 part number.
BTW... 14.301.101.000

| I went back out and looked and discovered the 9 which was hidden from view by the angle I was looking at it along with some grease! So I'm guessing it's the stock transaxle, Thanks. |
