Does anyone else here have that one friend of a friend who always slams your doors? Just because it’s 30+ year old car doesn’t mean you have to slam it like a chevy truck door!

My sister had a habit of slamming the hell out of the bajas door because it wouldnt close........because the seatbelt buckle would sometimes fall between the door and the car. :?

If you are afraid of them breaking your door by slamming it, then I suggest you do some work on your car.

my doors worked fine, thay would close with the lightest pull.

My all original '66 Beetle is still so tight that the doors must be slammed
if a window is not open. Just like it was when it was new. :D

If you have good door seals, you'll have to use some force to close a Beetle door, they are air tight. My '66 used to pop your ears if you didn't crack a window a bit before closing a door.

Usually with a sedan, people don't shut the door hard enough.

I've got a brother in law who's a "mechanic". I was watching him diagnose a problem with my aunt's dome light one night. As he got more frustrated, he kept slamming the door harder and harder and more often. He had the key in the ignition and every time he opened the door the key buzzer went off, but the dome light was sporadic. He even went so far as to disassemble the switch in the door jam. I watched the retardedness until I couldn't stand it anymore and went inside. I wasn't about to tell him that if the key buzzer was coming on consistently with the door opening and closing, that it must be a short in the dome light.

It ended up being a bulb with a loose end.

It pisses me off when people slam my door! I usually close it for who ever rides in my car.

You are lucky this isn't the Rants!

My mother and my brother both slammed the doors of my beetle so hard, the car actually rocked. Oddly enough, she closed the doors of her own car so gently that most of the time it wouldn't latch properly and the dome light would stay on.

Why...why...WHYYYYYYY.......

What you mean?

Chicks are hard on shit.

I'm surrounded by them. Slamming doors, drawers, stomping around.

DISCLAIMER: For you women that are not hard on shit, I aplogize for dumping you into the chick category

We must know the same people.

I hate it when they slam the cargo door with the handle down, so it tweaks the strike plate.
