What actually am I looking at and how is it related to VW's? :D

UZI Fri May 02, 2008 10:55 am

glad you asked. tempo matadors were made between 1949 and 1951. they were powered by a 25hp VW motor until VW decided to stop selling them motors as they were tooling up to built the singlecab truck. 1492 were built, very few exist today. very few.

Kuncle Fri May 02, 2008 11:03 am

so was the matador like the Romestech? Custom coaches? or were they mass produced?

I had a '59 Tempo Rapid truck, FWD Austin running gear.

Can't seem to get the photo to come up....not my truck, mine was a POS I sold for $100.
