Hi Everyone,
Can anyone help me with a picture of an original paint pre 49 fan housing, I have seen the summer / winter markings in various styles and I'm not sure which is closest to original. Here's a couple of examples ...

| My 47 (delivered to us ar my exchange) og fan shroud had the markings in both German/English. I think both type were used but cars sent to the English and US army exchages had had both Greman /English on them. |

Thanks for your replies, the period photo and the pic I posted are very similar in size and style and I will try to reproduce this, without the stencil. The book Original VW Beetle by Laurence Meredith shows exactly the same, arrows in the same place etc.
